Next Monday, we will honor all those men and women who passed away while working in America's armed forces. The federal holiday also marks the beginning of the summer vacation season! For this reason, we've chosen two places, from East to West coast, where you can escape the rush of everyday life and kick off summer the way it should be done.
- The Hamptons: its proximity to NYC makes it the perfect place to spend a couple of days laying by the beach. When taking the whole family, the best option is to rent a house in the town of Montauk. The Hither Hills State Park is nearby, and it provides the whole family with a series of bike trails that guarantee a time of adventures. If you'd like a more relaxed plan, you can always go get ice cream with the kiddos at Scoop Du Jour in East Hampton!
- Palm Springs: located on the other side of the United States, this weekend getaway place has been a classic for decades. You can actually feel the 60s vibes while strolling through Palm Canyon Drive. For family fun, we recommend a visit to Joshua Tree National Park. It has a unique beauty and incredible views of the desert and its flora that cannot be seen anywhere else. Hidden between the Joshua trees, you can also find incredible works of architecture, such as the Rosa Muerta house, that have been the setting of a variety of photoshoots by fashion magazines. The city of Palm Springs is also known for its outstanding golf courses, so if you want to immerse your family into the sport, this is the place to do so.
