You're in the Maldives, the sun is about to set and the waves are crashing at the shore while you sip on the most exotic cocktail you could find in the hotel menu... And then you wake up. You're baby is awake and crying again, and he wants to make sure that you are aware of the situation. Been there, done that. Here are some great tips for those nights in which you decide to consume your entire reserve of coffee.


    1. Play slight background sounds: if your baby wakes up every time you turn on a lamp or when he hears steps, it means that it's time to get a white noise machine or make a slight sound by turning on a fan. Playing those kinds of noises using your iPod is also a good option! Short after that, you're little one will associate the sounds with sleeping and your night will be much more pleasant.  
    2. Stop the nighttime feedings: make daytime feeds social and lively, and night-time feeds quiet and calm. This will help your baby to set her body clock and learn the difference between day and night.
    3. Set a bedtime routine: keep it short and simple, such as a bath, a change of childrenchic clothes, and a story (see our post about #bedtimestory for inspiration!)
